Berkay Tulay
Born in 1989 in Tarsus, Berkay Tulay completed his high school education in Robert College in Istanbul before receiving his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Koc University. Berkay started his career in international trade in Russia, where he stayed for one year while completing his Russian language studies at the same time. He then returned to Turkey, where he occupied several positions within family companies. These positions included procurement, supply chain management and logistics. In 2015, he became a member of the board of directors responsible for investments in the company. He led several investment initiatives specifically in West African countries alongside doing international trade with various different countries around the world. Between years 2014-2018, he took part in the executive committee of the international shipping branch of the company. Besides his active career, Berkay has personally been investing in promising ventures since he graduated from college.
Berkay currently serves as the Co-founder and COO of RubiBrands, Turkey’s first e-commerce brands investment company founded in 2021.
Emre Ekmekçi
Emre Ekmekçi is the President of the Turkish E-Commerce Association, Turkey’s largest NGO and Think-Tank organization focused on the growth of e-commerce in Turkey. He currently serves as an Independent Board Member at Migros Turk AS, the leading supermarket chain in Turkey. He was the President and Chief Commercial Officer of Hepsiburada (Nasdaq: HEPS)– a multi-category e-commerce player from 2015-2019. He was the President at Doğan Online Group Companies from 2011-2015.
Emre pioneered the daily deal business in Turkey, by launching Groupon’s (Nasdaq: GRPN) Turkish operations and its local Turkish brand Sehirfirsati.com, making it a market leader in partnership with European Founders Fund and Rocket Internet
Emre has global experience in Interactive Marketing having served for 8 years at a leading full-service agency in Los Angeles, California with focus on global business development and has worked on location in Los Angeles, Chicago, Hong Kong, Shanghai, London and Paris.
Emre has an MBA with honors from Columbia Business School in New York and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from University of Southern California. A native of Adana, Emre is also a proud alumni of Tarsus American High School. He is married to Neslişah Evliyazade Ekmekçi and has one daughter.
İrtek Uraz
İrtek Uraz is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Rubi; responsible for its investment operations and investor relations. İrtek brings in over 15 years of global experience in Investment banking, Private Equity and Management Consulting.
Prior to founding Rubi, Irtek was a senior Investment Banker as a Director in Unlu&Co, Turkey’s leading M&A firm, where he oversaw multitude of deals across industries such as Technology, Commerce and Manufacturing. Prior to joining Unlu&Co, Irtek was Vice President in NBK Capital Partners, one of the largest private equity funds in the MENA region. During his tenior, Irtek originated and executed numerous deals including the first of its kind Private Equity deals in the digital media and payments systems domains across the region. Before joining NBK Capital markets, Irtek was an Engagement Manager in Booz&Co.’s Dubai office, where he worked on high profile strategy consulting projects across Telco, FMCG, Transportation and Media sectors.
İrtek holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, MSc from Stanford University and MSc in Computer Engineering from METU, where he also completed his undergraduate engineering studies. A native of Ankara, İrtek is also a proud alumni of TED Ankara College.
Yetkin Güneş
Yetkin Güneş spearheaded foundation of RubiBrands, Turkey’s first e-commerce brands investment company in 2021 and currently serves as Co-Founder and CEO.
Yetkin received his high school diploma from Robert College in 2008 before receiving his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Koç University in 2012, where he specialized inFinancial Engineering.
Between 2012-2017 he worked as an Investment Banker at Ünlü &Co, the leading investment bank in Turkey. During his tenure at Ünlü&Co, he acted as an advisor in 8 major M&A transactions which represent a combined value of over 1 billion $. In 2017 he joined Bridgepoint, a leading European Private Equity Fund. At Bridgepoint he was responsible for Bridgepoint’s current and prospective investments in Turkey, while also participating in Bridgepoint’s other European investments. After leaving Bridgepoint in 2019, Yetkin founded BlackGold Capital, a boutique investment house which provides buy and sell side M&A, ECM and early-stage equity financing advisory services while also engaging in principal equity investments.
Aslı Südor
Aslı Südor completed her high school education at Robert College and her undergraduate education at Boğaziçi University Mechanical Engineering. She started her career at Procter & Gamble; and worked as Pampers Assistant Brand Manager, Chain Stores Commercial Marketing Manager and Brand Operations Group Manager. Next, she moved to the retail sector and worked as Marketing Director first at Atasun Optik and then at Koton. During her time at Koton, she also took on the duty of E-commerce Director by proxy. Then, as Strategy and Marketing Director at Joker and Soobe companies within the Actera Group, she managed Marketing, E-commerce, E-Commerce Software, CRM and Customer Service teams. After serving as Assistant General Manager at Gilan and Marketing Director at Şölen, she assumed the Marketing Director role at RubiBrands.
She represented the companies she worked for in Advertisers Association, United Brands Association and MMA Turkey. She is also a member of the CMO Society, Lead Network, and Robert College Alumni Association. Aslı Südor is married and has one son.
Işık Yılmaz
Işık Yılmaz received her high scool diploma from Balıkesir Sırrı Yırcalı Anatolian High School in 2000, and her bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Marmara University in 2005.
Between 2006 – 2012, she worked in Koçtaş, the joint venture of Kingfisher Group (the biggest DIY group in Europe) and Koc Holding. She worked on category management and product development, and led the Global Buying Project for the partners in Turkey and Europe. In 2012, she joined Hepsiburada, the leading e-commerce company in Turkey, and between 2012-2018, she led many categories’ growth in e-commerce businness, worked on the marketplace transformation project and led the merger project between Evmanya.com and Hepsiburada.com with all the commercial operations and teams. Between 2018-2021, she got the responsibility of the development of Boyner.com.tr, Boyner Büyük Mağazacılık’s website and led the big growth of omni-channel.
Işık Yılmaz joined RubiBrands, Turkey’s first e-Commerce brands investment company, in 2021 and serves as the Commercial Director.

Prior to founding Rubi, Irtek was a senior Investment Banker as a Director in Unlu&Co, Turkey’s leading M&A firm, where he oversaw multitude of deals across industries such as Technology, Commerce and Manufacturing. Prior to joining Unlu&Co, Irtek was Vice President in NBK Capital Partners, one of the largest private equity funds in the MENA region. During his tenior, Irtek originated and executed numerous deals including the first of its kind Private Equity deals in the digital media and payments systems domains across the region. Before joining NBK Capital markets, Irtek was an Engagement Manager in Booz&Co.’s Dubai office, where he worked on high profile strategy consulting projects across Telco, FMCG, Transportation and Media sectors.

Berkay started his career in international trade in Russia, where he stayed for one year while completing his Russian language studies at the same time. He then returned to Turkey, where he occupied several positions within family companies. These positions included procurement, supply chain management and logistics. In 2015, he became a member of the board of directors responsible for investments in the company. He led several investment initiatives specifically in West African countries alongside doing international trade with various different countries around the world. Between years 2014-2018, he took part in the executive committee of the international shipping branch of the company. Besides his active career, Berkay has personally been investing in promising ventures since he graduated from college.

Prior to joining Unlu&Co, Irtek was Vice President in NBK Capital Partners, one of the largest private equity funds in the MENA region. During his tenior, Irtek originated and executed numerous deals including the first of its kind Private Equity deals in the digital media and payments systems domains across the region. She worked on category management and product development, and led the Global Buying Project for the partners in Turkey and Europe. In 2012, she joined Hepsiburada, the leading e-commerce company in Turkey, and between 2012-2018, she led many categories’ growth in e-commerce businness, worked on the marketplace transformation project and led the merger project between Evmanya.com and Hepsiburada.com with all the commercial operations and teams. Between 2018-2021, she got the responsibility of the development of Boyner.com.tr, Boyner Büyük Mağazacılık’s website and led the big growth of omni-channel.

Berkay started his career in international trade in Russia, where he stayed for one year while completing his Russian language studies at the same time. He then returned to Turkey, where he occupied several positions within family companies. These positions included procurement, supply chain management and logistics. In 2015, he became a member of the board of directors responsible for investments in the company. He led several investment initiatives specifically in West African countries alongside doing international trade with various different countries around the world. Between years 2014-2018, he took part in the executive committee of the international shipping branch of the company. Besides his active career, Berkay has personally been investing in promising ventures since he graduated from college.
Berkay currently serves as the Co-founder and COO of RubiBrands, Turkey’s first e-commerce brands investment company founded in 2021.

In 2012, she joined Hepsiburada, the leading e-commerce company in Turkey, and between 2012-2018, she led many categories’ growth in e-commerce businness, worked on the marketplace transformation project and led the merger project between Evmanya.com and Hepsiburada.com with all the commercial operations and teams. Between 2018-2021, she got the responsibility of the development of Boyner.com.tr, Boyner Büyük Mağazacılık’s website and led the big growth of omni-channel.

Berkay started his career in international trade in Russia, where he stayed for one year while completing his Russian language studies at the same time. He then returned to Turkey, where he occupied several positions within family companies. These positions included procurement, supply chain management and logistics. In 2015, he became a member of the board of directors responsible for investments in the company. He led several investment initiatives specifically in West African countries alongside doing international trade with various different countries around the world. Between years 2014-2018, he took part in the executive committee of the international shipping branch of the company. Besides his active career, Berkay has personally been investing in promising ventures since he graduated from college.

Berkay started his career in international trade in Russia, where he stayed for one year while completing his Russian language studies at the same time. He then returned to Turkey, where he occupied several positions within family companies. These positions included procurement, supply chain management and logistics. In 2015, he became a member of the board of directors responsible for investments in the company. He led several investment initiatives specifically in West African countries alongside doing international trade with various different countries around the world. Between years 2014-2018, he took part in the executive committee of the international shipping branch of the company. Besides his active career, Berkay has personally been investing in promising ventures since he graduated from college.
Berkay currently serves as the Co-founder and COO of RubiBrands, Turkey’s first e-commerce brands investment company founded in 2021.

Prior to joining Unlu&Co, Irtek was Vice President in NBK Capital Partners, one of the largest private equity funds in the MENA region. During his tenior, Irtek originated and executed numerous deals including the first of its kind Private Equity deals in the digital media and payments systems domains across the region. Prior to joining Unlu&Co, Irtek was Vice President in NBK Capital Partners, one of the largest private equity funds in the MENA region. During his tenior, Irtek originated and executed numerous deals including the first of its kind Private Equity deals in the digital media and payments systems domains across the region. Prior to founding Rubi, Irtek was a senior Investment Banker as a Director in Unlu&Co, Turkey’s leading M&A firm, where he oversaw multitude of deals across industries such as Technology, Commerce and Manufacturing. Prior to joining Unlu&Co, Irtek was Vice President in NBK Capital Partners, one of the largest private equity funds in the MENA region. During his tenior, Irtek originated and executed numerous deals including the first of its kind Private Equity deals in the digital media and payments systems domains across the region. Before joining NBK Capital markets, Irtek was an Engagement Manager in Booz&Co.’s Dubai office, where he worked on high profile strategy consulting projects across Telco, FMCG, Transportation and Media sectors.

After serving as Assistant General Manager at Gilan and Marketing Director at Şölen, she assumed the Marketing Director role at RubiBrands.

She worked on category management and product development, and led the Global Buying Project for the partners in Turkey and Europe. In 2012, she joined Hepsiburada, the leading e-commerce company in Turkey, and between 2012-2018, she led many categories’ growth in e-commerce businness, worked on the marketplace transformation project and led the merger project between Evmanya.com and Hepsiburada.com with all the commercial operations and teams. Between 2018-2021, she got the responsibility of the development of Boyner.com.tr, Boyner Büyük Mağazacılık’s website and led the big growth of omni-channel.
